Today, Mrs. Jamie Brown, 4th grade teacher at Scott Elementary, traveled to Washington D.C. with her father, Stan Poettker, for the annual Honor Flight ceremony! Honor Flight is a national program dedicated to honoring our veterans by taking them on a free trip to our nation's capital to visit the memorials built in their honor.
Mr. Poettker served our country bravely during the Vietnam War as an E-5 in the Army. He spent one year in Vietnam, turning 21 while in the country.

We love the Scott Elementary PTO! Today, the PTO made its first Sunshine Cart delivery to our teachers and staff. Throughout the year, the PTO makes surprise visits to our teachers to deliver some goodies and offer a pick-me-up. We are beyond spoiled to have one of the best PTOs in the business.
